Moisture Readings are important to Restoration

SERVPRO of Roanoke Rapids responded to this loss due to a toilet leak. The rooms affected were the toilet room and bathroom. However, it leaked downstairs and affected the stairs, hallway, hall closet, bedroom and a bedroom closet. Our team used moisture meters to determine the percentage of water in various given substances. These devices are used to determine if the material is ready for use, unexpectedly wet or dry, or otherwise in need of further inspection. The before picture from this home shows the readings we received on the moisture meter the first day of inspection. We then took out all the wet non-salvageable content and started the drying process. The after picture shows the final moisture meter readings after everything was dried out.
