COVID Disinfection in the Workplace
When a employee at this business tested positive for COVID-19, the business called SERVPRO of Roanoke Rapids to disinfect and sanitize their office. The building contained 30 office space areas, 1 main conference room, a waiting room, a rest room, and a kitchen/lunchroom area. When our employees are called to disinfect a business they wear full PPE suits, including full face masks. They use an anti-microbial disinfection solution and they use a ULV fogger. The ULV fogger electrifies the disinfectant chemical into a fine mist which covers everything into a fog. Once that is done, our techs wipe down surfaces, especially surfaces that are highly touched such as door knobs, phones, and keyboards. They will also mop the floors with the same chemical they used in the ULV fogger. Once they are done disinfecting the building, our techs then spray themselves down with the disinfectant before removing their suits and leaving.
